College of Engineering

The College of Engineering at Lunghwa University of Science and Technology is composed of five departments, each specializing in distinct areas of engineering:

Department of Mechanical Engineering & Master Program

The Department of Mechanical Engineering upholds the philosophy of "Pragmatism, Excellence, and Innovation,"which focuses on practical education and develops course modules in rapid precision design, precision multi-axis  machining, and smart mechatronics.

Department of Semiconductor Engineering & Master Program

The department was formerly known as Chemical and Materials Engineering and changed to Semiconductor Engineering in the 112th academic year. Its goal is to develop students with professional knowledge and skills in semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, and testing.

Department of Electronic Engineering & Master Program

Since the university was founded, the Department of Electronic Engineering has existed. After undergoing the Division of Industrial Electronics (a two-year college program) and the Division of Electronic Engineering (a two-year college program), it was renamed the Department of Electronic Engineering in 1999.

Department of Information Network Engineering & Master Program

The Department of Information Network Engineering was established in 2004 and introduced a master's program in 2017. As the department developed, it attained accreditation from the University of Science and Technology’s evaluation and passed the IEET Information Accreditation Certification (CAC), bringing it up to international standards. Currently, the department focuses on developing information engineering technology and network technology, emphasizing academic advancement and system integration, especially in integrating intelligent IoT applications, to develop students' professionalism and ability to conduct independent research. It is also hoped that graduates of this program will become excellent programmers, network management engineers, and IoT developers. Graduates have also been praised for their entrepreneurship, careers, and higher education success.

Department of Electrical Engineering & Master Program

The Department of Electrical Engineering has existed since the university was founded in 1969, and it is one of the university's oldest departments. The college was renamed the Institute of Technology in 1998 because of its excellent education.
