College of Humanities and Design
The educational objectives of the College of Humanities and Design at Lunghwa University of Science and Technology are aligned with national policies, social trends, industrial development, and the school's status. These objectives are designed to cultivate talent in humanistic digital transformation and media marketing, develop the industrial chain of cross-domain innovation and sensory experience, and support diverse and disadvantaged individuals to achieve specific goals in social practice.
Department of Applied Foreign Languages
The Department of Applied Foreign Languages was established in 1999. The main objectives of the courses are to strengthen foreign language ability, cultivate cross-domain professional knowledge, and improve information technology literacy. The professional fields include "Business Tourism and Exhibition" and "Digital Culture and Education."
Department of Multimedia and Game Science and Master Program
The Department of Multimedia and Game Science was established in 2002. It is the first department in Taiwan to have the word “game” in the name of the department’s. It is expected to start from the basic sciences, pay equal attention to programming and art, and cultivate students who have both theories and practice as multimedia and game production talents. In the academic year 2014, the Department of Multimedia and Game Science began the master’s programs, hoping to combine the teachers and resources of science and technology with humanities and art to make the school’s multimedia and game majors more competitive.
Department of Tourism and Leisure
The Department of Tourism and Leisure was established in 2012 to cooperate with the development of the two principal tourism policies of the government - cultivating outstanding international tourism talents and providing services with international standards.
Department of Cultural Creativity and Digital Media Design
The Department of Cultural Creativity and Digital Media Design was established in 2012 with the aim of nurturing talents in audio-visual media production and cross-disciplinary integration within the field of product design. In response to the evolving industrial landscape and market demands, our department offers a comprehensive curriculum centered around "Cultural Creativity," encompassing two major fields:"Product Design" and "Audio-Video Media."
D-center
The Digital Content Technology Research and Development Center serves as a platform for cultivating professional digital technology skills and facilitating collaboration with the industry.
General Education Center
To strengthen the integration of humanities, science, and ethics and to equip students with humanistic qualities with good habits of respecting the law and good manners, the university's former Division of Liberal Studies was transformed into the General Education Center in September 2001. The center is responsible for the planning and implementation of the liberal studies curriculum of the entire university. Education aims to cultivate outstanding human resources in moral, intellectual,technical, physical, social, and aesthetic development.
Bilingual Education Center
Amid globalization, English is the most important language for international communication. How to create a bilingual environment from a policy perspective to enhance the competitiveness of national talents and industries is a critical factor for Taiwan to connect with the international community.
